The Samaná Peninsula in the northeast of the Dominican Republic is known for lush hills, the El Limón waterfall and Cayo Levantado (“Bacardi Island”). During the winter months humpback whales gather in Samaná Bay, and a seasonal price applies on the approved whale-season dates.
